How much context can a model use?
MultipleChat reserves context for instructions, routing, files, collaboration traces, formatting, and the answer itself. That keeps outputs stable instead of pushing every request to a provider's absolute edge.
Single model
Up to 20% below provider maximum
For a single selected model, the practical context window in MultipleChat is at most 20% lower than the maximum context window that model provider allows.
AI-Team collaboration
The smallest context window sets the team limit
In AI collaboration, the usable context window is limited by the lowest context window in the selected AI-Team. If one team member has a smaller window than the others, the team must operate within that smaller shared limit.
