No credit card · run the same prompt across all 4 models in one window
Summarisation looks easy until you stress-test it on a 200-page document. Then context window, attention, and faithfulness to the source all matter — and the gap between the four models widens fast.
If you summarise often, run the same input through two models in MultipleChat. The differences are sometimes dramatic.
Claude's 200k-token window is enough for almost any single document, and its attention quality across that window is the highest of the four — it doesn't 'lose the middle' the way other models can. For one-shot summaries that need to be defensible, it wins.

Does it weight the start/end fairly, not just the start?
Will it actually follow a structured format you ask for?
Claude (200k window) for most docs; Gemini if it's a really long one. Both let you upload files directly.
Claude — least likely to miss a quiet but important moment in the transcript.
Sometimes. Ask for 'anything material' and 'what's missing', not just a summary, to compensate.
Use it as a draft. Verify against the source. Never cite an AI summary as the document itself.
MultipleChat lets you run the same prompt across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok side-by-side. Verify the ranking on your actual work, not someone else's benchmark.
